ABOUT JMD MANUFACTURING

JMD Manufacturing, established in 1986, is a manufacturer and job shop located in West Central Minnesota. By combining any of the manufacturing processes we offer, we can provide you with individual parts up to a completed product or equipment. We have 4 decades of experience in machining and fabricating using a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, mild and specialty steels, aluminum, copper, brass and plastics.

Our Timeline

Started as Johnson Machining & Design Inc.

It all started in a 640 sq ft hog shed, on a farm, with a manual mill and lathe, a saw and a welder.

Moved to Willmar, MN

The operation moved into a 3000 sq. ft. pole shed in Willmar, MN.

Boot Washer-Sanitizer Introduced

Farm Drainage Pump

The product line was acquired from a local business.

Swing Away Mailbox Post

Started production.

Precision Machining

A local screw machine shop was purchased.

Change of Ownership to Ringler Machine & Manufacturing, Brent & Deb Ringler. Brent worked with JMD’s founder, Ray Johnson since 1988.

Celebrating 40 years of building relationships and products in our current 22,000 sq feet, full of CNC mills and lathes, Swiss screw machines, manual mills and lathes, a robotic welder, fabricating equipment, and other welders.
